Alhamdu lillāhilladhī 'āfānī fī jasadi wa-radda 'alayya rūḥī wa-adhina lī bi-dhikrih.

"All praise is for Allah who restored my health, returned my soul to me, and permitted me to remember Him."

Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khabā'ith.

"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female evil spirits (and from all filth and evil deeds)."

                        Etiquette: Enter with left foot, exit with right foot. Do not mention Allah's name while inside.

غُفْرَانَكَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنِّي الأَذَى وَعَافَانِي

Ghufrānaka. Alhamdu lillāhilladhī adh-haba 'annil-adhā wa-'āfānī.

"I seek Your forgiveness. All praise is for Allah who removed harm from me and granted me health."

Alhamdu lillāhilladhī kasānī hādha-th-thawba wa-razaqanīhi min ghayri hawlin minnī wa-lā quwwah.

"All praise is for Allah who clothed me with this garment and provided it for me without any might or power from myself."

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ

Allāhumma lakal-ḥamdu Anta kasawtanīhi, as'aluka min khayrihi wa-khayri mā suni'a lahu, wa-a'ūdhu bika min sharrihi wa-sharri mā suni'a lahu.

"O Allah, all praise is for You, You clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good of what it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for."

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."

                        If you forget at the beginning: Say "Bismillāhi awwalahu wa ākhirahu" — "In the name of Allah at its beginning and at its end."

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلاَ قُوَّةٍ. اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَأَطْعِمْنَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ

Alhamdu lillāhilladhī aṭ'amanī hādha wa-razaqanīhi min ghayri hawlin minnī wa-lā quwwah. Allāhumma bārik lanā fīhi wa-aṭ'imnā khayran minhu.

"All praise is for Allah who fed me this and provided it for me without any might or power from myself. O Allah, bless it for us and feed us better than it."

Bismillāhi, tawakkaltu 'alallāhi, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.

"In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah."

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ

Subḥān alladhī sakh-khara lanā hādha wa mā kunnā lahu muqrineen wa innaā ilā rabbinā la-munqaliboon.

"Glory be to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it by our efforts. And surely to our Lord we shall return."

Bismillāhi walajnā, wa bismillāhi kharajnā, wa 'alallāhi rabbinā tawakkalnā.

"In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we place our trust."

The Market Dua — Protection from Shirk

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ، وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لاَ يَمُوتُ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu, wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, biyadihi-l-khayru, wa huwa 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr.

"There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs dominion and to Him belongs praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is Ever-Living and does not die. In His hand is all good, and He is over all things competent."

                        Virtue: Whoever recites this upon entering the marketplace, Allah records for him one million good deeds, erases one million bad deeds, and raises him one million degrees.

Allāhumma bārik lanā fī rizqinā wa a'innā 'alā shukri ni'matika.

"O Allah, bless us in our provision and help us to be grateful for Your blessings."

Allāhumma rabba hādhi-d-da'wati-t-tāmmah, wa-ṣ-ṣalāti-l-qā'imah, āti Muḥammadan al-wasīlata wa-l-faḍīlah, wab'athhu maqāman maḥmūdan alladhī wa'adtah.

"O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and established prayer, grant Muhammad the intercession and favor, and raise him to the praiseworthy station that You have promised him."

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيَا وَأَمُوتُ

Bismika Allāhumma aḥyā wa amūt.

"In Your name, O Allah, I live and die."

بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Bismika Rabbī waḍa'tu janbī wa bika arfa'uh, in amsakta nafsī far-ḥamhā, wa in arsaltahā fa-ḥfaẓhā bimā taḥfaẓu bihi 'ibādaka-ṣ-ṣāliḥīn.

"In Your name my Lord, I lay down my side and in Your name I raise it. If You take my soul, have mercy on it, and if You release it, protect it as You protect Your righteous servants."

Ṣalli Allāhumma 'alā Muḥammadin wa 'alā āli Muḥammadin kamā ṣallayta 'alā Ibrāhīma wa 'alā āli Ibrāhīma innaka ḥamīdun majīd.

"O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious."

آيِبُونَ، تَائِبُونَ، عَابِدُونَ، لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ

Āyibūna, tā'ibūna, 'ābidūna, li-rabbinā ḥāmidūn.

"We return, we repent, we worship, and we praise our Lord."
